Tobacco products contain harmful chemicals like nicotine, tar, arsenic, and cadmium. Smoking tobacco is addictive and can have short term effects like difficulty breathing as well as long term effects like cancer and lung disease. Caffeinated foods and beverages can cause indigestion, headaches, nervousness, and difficulty sleeping. While caffeine provides energy, regular consumption can lead to dependency. Alcohol is a depressant drug that affects the body by being absorbed into the bloodstream and impacting major organs. Short term effects include impaired coordination while long term abuse can permanently damage the liver and brain.
