Kathleen Conyngham Greene was a British playwright from 1885-1924 who authored five plays featuring women as central characters. The play describes a Princess who disguises herself as a peasant girl and visits her village in adventure. However, the villagers accuse her of being a vagabond and thief when she takes milk and bread from a cottage. A juggler tries to convince the villagers otherwise and the Princess performs an apple trick, revealing her identity as their Princess.
