-Benchmarking-  Exercise undertaken by 18 operators pre session  Average number of parties was 21.3 per week Ranged from 8-30
Parties account for an average of  33.5% of operators turnover and this  figure has stayed constant this year  according to over 50% of participants
-High Party Price-  Average Top Party Price is £13.28 Range £7- £20.95
-Low Party Price-  Average Bottom Party Price is £8.12 Range £4.95- £12.50
-Party Themes-  65% of operators in the survey offer themed parties and the average number of different party variations/theme’s is 6.5 Princess Parties were the most popular theme others included pirates, bumper cars, face painting, high school musical, spiderman, football, lazer tag, petting party.
-Party Bags-  Average cost of production- 49.5p  Range of prices to produce 31p- £1.30.  Varying Suppliers include Playwrite, Hembrant, Unique, Party Packs, Mr Lucky Bags, Go Pack, Ravensden, Craddocks, Self sourced from China, Local Wholesaler. Over 70% of operators sell party bags  Average retail price of £1.88  Ranges from 80p to £3
-Customer Service- Quality of service, keep parents and children happy, something they cant do at home Right party hosts with  financial incentives  attached Recruit right staff, train well, and keep checking by going into the parties Well trained staff to host parties Talk to  parents Good party host Parent feel like VIP’s as they pay…children have fun, then parent feel happy and satisfied.  Create the experience from start to finish, with can do staff and  communicate  throughout.  Well trained enthusiastic staff  who follow a strict timetable and don’t mind making a fool of themselves in front of 30 kids Vibrant, confident, happy staff and good quality food, clean, comfortable environment, good value and quality.  Under promise and over deliver-  especially parents needs Incentivise staff if the parents give 100% positive feedback (£5)
