In 2013, Malta Enterprise approved 132 projects representing a record number, with foreign direct investment projects almost tripling those approved from 2010 to 2012. These projects are forecast to generate over 166 million in investments and create over 2,600 new jobs, with most new jobs coming from the manufacturing, digital games, aviation, and ICT sectors. It was also a strong year for local companies, with the most local projects approved since 2006 forecast to generate new investments and jobs.

10. 2013. Employment
The 132 FDI and Local projects approved by ME in 2013 will carry a total
investment of 166.3 million and are envisaged to create:
2,611 new jobs
