1) An external practical viva will be held on March 13, 2015 at St. Francis College for Women. Students will be evaluated on Store Security, Visual Merchandising, and Demo Styles. 2) For each subject, students must visit a retail store, study it, and prepare a PowerPoint and Word report with sections like findings, recommendations, and sources. 3) Reports are due by March 10th and will be evaluated based on store observations, presentation quality, and report structure. Internals for Retail Business Environment include assignments on company missions/values, store environment observations, and a strategic retail business plan.

ST. FRANCIS COLLEGE FOR WOMEN BACHELOR OF VOCATION 1ST YEAR SEMESTER II EXTERNAL PRACTICALS VIVA The external Viva Practicles will be held on 13 March 2015. Below given subjects will be covered. Subject Topic Max. Marks Store Security Accidental Measures 50Shrinkage & Barcode Health & Safety Visual Merchandising Store Layout 50Types of Merchandise Display Elements and Types of VM display Demo Styles Demonstration of products & Customer Interaction 50Types of Characteristics of Customers Selling Process : Door to Door process within the store The flow of the report and process is as given below. a) Select one store of your choice and visit for a study, observation and research. b) Prepare a power point presentation file with white background and use Times Roman or Arial font with limited usage of downloaded pictures.(One report for all three subjects – 2 slides in a page). c) Prepare a word document by transferring slides from the above presentation. d) Framework of the presentation is given below Cover page Contents Acknowledgement Executive Summary Findings on observations and research Suggestions & Recommendations Source of Information e) Submit the hard copies on 10th prior March 2015 to the viva date
