Prehistory began around 2 million years ago and lasted until the invention of writing. During this time, early humans lived in tribes and caves, hunting and gathering food for survival. They used basic tools and weapons made of stone, wood, and bones as they discovered fire and began painting animal pictures on cave walls.

Prehistory is the longest period of our past. It began about 2 million years ago, and ended with the invention of writing.
The first humans lived in tribes.
They lived in caves and painted the walls with pictures of animals.
They discovered fire.
They hunted animals...
...for food
...and for their skins.
...and for their skins.
...and for their skins.
They caught fish...
...and gathered plants.
They made simple tools...
...and weapons... – Arrow heads – Axes – Spears
...using stone, wood and bones.
