Preliminary Screenshots
Created a new project. Added the first piece of video without any audio and added
a fade in and out which allowed for a clean and smooth piece of video. Opening
video is the establishing shot for the documentary.
More footage added to the timeline with no alterations added to the video such as
fades, no audio is accompanying the video.
Added an intro graphic which displays the name of the documentary on the
screen. The graphic goes from the back of the frame to the front and fades in and
fades out at the end of the graphics space on the timeline.
Added the intro song to the documentary (How Ya Doin by Little Mix), then altered
the audio levels so the end of the sound clip faded out and let gently into the first
spoken audio clips.
Added the archive material which was the advert for the Nokia 7110, altered to
add a fade at the end of the material and lead into the interview material.
Added the voice of god audio which is commonly used in professional
documentaries to deliver narrative.
Added the first piece of interview material and added a nameplate to the timeline
to overlay the footage to mimic a professional documentary. Audio is from the
accompanying video.

introduce the topic of the next interview piece.

advert for an old Nokia which was a popular phone at the time of its release.
Added footage of phone features with a song playing over it which was editted in
post production.

interview material.

Added a recording of a mobile phone with a blur at the end of the recording to help
ease it into the next recording, added a snapchat notification which would be
recognised by the audience.

interviewee is positioned to the side of the shot and looks away from the camera
rather than directly at it which is seen in most professional documentaries.
Added archive footage if a man using a mobile phone, voice of god gives the
audience a rhetorical question to ponder as the documentary leads into the
closing credits.
Closing credits of the documentary is made up of a graphic whilst having a song
layered over it that relates to the phone theme.
