This document outlines the structure and uses of the present perfect tense in English. It provides the affirmative, negative, and interrogative forms of the present perfect simple structure using common verbs. It then discusses time adverbials that can be used with the present perfect such as "just", "already", and "never". Finally, it provides examples of how the present perfect is used to describe an action that occurred in the past but is still relevant to the present, and contrasts this with the past simple tense which is used for actions fully contained in the past.
