The Value of a loaf of Bread

Presentación sobre valor de pan
Uses
• Bread is a STAPLE. It is a part of our lives from start
  to end.

• As toddlers we have our first bite of white bread. We
grow to love it as kids. It is our breakfast, our quick
  snack (PB&J).
Uses
• Later we enjoy with friends and loved ones. We relish
pizza, enjoy varieties such as french bread, baguette,
        sourdough bread, pumpernickel bread etc.

• We share this love of bread across generations. Only
towards the end when we loose our teeth we trade
bread for medicines summarized in the picture of
eating a sandwich filled with medicines.
Loaf of a bread
• With the bread you have a lot of forms to put the
                imagination to work

EXAMPLE OF VALUE
Value
• It’s funny how we assign value to things.
When you’re out of bread and in a hurry,
$1.49 doesn’t seem so bad. When it’s close
to payday and you’re short on funds, $1.49
  seems like highway robbery.
Value
• In either case, the bread is the same— “Changes in environment
                                           and circumstance often
it still weighs the same, smells the cause a shift in perceived
same, tastes the same—but our value"

perception of the bread’s value is
  different. Changes in environment and
circumstance often cause a shift in
  perceived value"
Value
• Our perception of the bread’s “People who would never
                                      dream of buying those
value is different, changes in high-priced “premium”
                                      brands gladly pay
environment and circumstance whatever price appears on
                                      the cash register”
often cause a shift in perceived
value. If you doubt that, visit a
grocery store within a few hours
of a hurricane or other major
  storm, and watch people fight
over the last loaf of bread or
  gallon of milk.
