This document discusses the concept of cyborgs and how wearable technology may be turning people into the cyborgs of science fiction. It begins with a definition of cyborgs as beings with both organic and biomechatronic parts. It then provides examples of famous cyborg characters from science fiction and real people who have technological implants or enhancements, such as cochlear implants, pacemakers, and prosthetics integrated with technology. It suggests that as wearable technology becomes more intimate, it may become more efficient to implant technology directly into the body, turning people into cyborgs.
