5. So, with a Line Blind Valve, it takes 1 man, 20 seconds to 5 minutes to operate the Line Blind valve!

Their designs meet US ASME standards, applicable to the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and certification of pressure vessels operating at pressures exceeding 15 psig.

8. There are four basic designs of Line Blind valves which are, Sliding Type, Swing Type, Compact type, (for larger line sizes) and non-spill type where the valve body is covered, to prevent hazard or pollution during operation.

Some people ask us, “Why can’t I just use a knife gate valve?” One simple answer would be that product material can get hung up and accumulate on the bottom seat of the knife gate and requires cleaning. A good point to consider is also that Line Blind valves will not see any seat or gate erosion, ensuring positive shut-off. 100% Bubble-tight shut-off!

12. All Sammi Line Blind valves feature a 3 year warranty. Standard maintenance are gasket replacement and o-rings, both dependent upon operating conditions….
13. Built in safety features include both an added Stainless Steel chain, in addition to the locking lever, as well as redundant o-ring sealing as a back up to prevent leakage….
14. NPT bleeder connection can be added, to drain any remaining fluid and can be closed off with a NPT plug. We can also automate these valves in a open-close operation. We don’t recommend smart positioners as these valves are not for throttling use!
15. Many of the “world Class” ISO rated valve manufactures use modeling, by using techniques such as FEA of Finite Element Analysis. Sammi Line Blind valves are hydro-tested beyond designed Pressure Class and can also provide fire safety testing for Class One DIV 2 intrincically safety requirements.
