Earphone terdiri dari 3 komponen utama yaitu jack, kabel, dan speaker. Jack berfungsi untuk meneruskan sinal ke kabel sementara speaker mengubah sinyal menjadi suara. Earphone pertama kali ditemukan oleh Nathaniel Baldwin pada tahun 1910. Penggunaan earphone secara berlebihan dapat membahayakan kesehatan telinga karena suara yang dihasilkan terlalu besar.

tersebut di speaker terdapat pengubah sinyal-
sinyal,masukkan tadi menjadi suara

Kelebihan
1. portable, mudah dibawa kemana-mana.
2. suara yang dihasilkan langsung terdengar
jelas.
3. Tidak mengganggu lingkungan karena suara
tidak tersebar.

Kekurangan/Bahaya
1. suara yang dihasilkan tentunya sangat besar
gelombangnya.
2. terlalu lama menggunakan earphone
3. Bisa membuat orang kesal karena memanggil
anda
4. Penggunaan kawat halus pada kabelnya
menyebabkan mudah terputus.

Tips Sehat Penggunaan Earphone
1. Usahakancopot earphone setiap 20 menit.
2. Pasang volume yang tidak terlalu besar.
3. Pastikanada label ‘SNI’ pada earphone yang
andabeli (sudah teruji aman).
4. Jangan pasang earphone sampai menusuk
kedalam telinga.
5. Pilih pemutar musik yang suaranya tidak
lebih dari 95 desibel.
