ABOUT
The BTE is a commercially produced device which has
been designed to provide specific repetitive upper limb
motions against measurable resistances over a
measurable period of time.
The instrument can simulate a variety of movements in
different planes.
There are two primary components: a controlled
resistance assembly with 17 attachments and multiple
positions and a microprocessor which allows selection
of the desired resistance level and measures
performance. The instrument can be used in both
static and dynamic exercise modes.
The BTE is used in Functional capacity assessment or
evaluation(FCE)
It is used in the late stages of rehabilitation because
strengthening of work should only be started when one
has gained optimum ROM and control movement.
can be set to stimulate a large range of tasks and
becomes particularly useful when starting to build
strength.
Amount of force the person needs to apply can be
graded by varying the amount of resistance required
to move the chosen handle.(..grading)
BTE's advanced physical therapy, occupational therapy,
and athletic training equipment improves clinical
decision-making, generates measurable outcomes, and
enhances the success of the modern orthopaedic
hospital, physiotherapy clinic, occupational therapy
practice, and athletic training facility.
Elite physical testing, rehabilitation and conditioning
professionals around the world rely on BTE functional
evaluation and rehabilitation systems to deliver quality
care and superior results.
Features & Benefits
Provide Objective, Evidence-Supported Evaluation, Treatment and
Training
The BTE is the ultimate equipment because it delivers objectivity and real
time data capture - from initial evaluation and baseline measurement
through completion of a rehabilitation or training program.
Quantitative measurement and documentation of the clients output.
Clients' performance is automatically recorded and tracked as they
progress through rehabilitation. Objective reports are stored and can be
retrieved at any time to gauge patient effort, and to review progress and
results achieved on the system.
offers real time, visual feedback onscreen in evaluation mode allowing you
to immediately see and assess your client's effort and level of
performance. In treatment/exercise mode, you can allow your clients to
view the real time visual feedback and progress graphs to keep them
motivated.
The BTE provides clients with clear feedback, which can help to motivate
them.
Features & Benefits
the automatic recording of measurements makes it possible for
clients to work on programs with minimial therapist supervision.
graded increase of the difficulty level of tasks in small, measurable
increments, minimizing the risk of injury
simulation of movements with resistance in two directions or only
one.
simulation of a broad range of tasks in a small amount of space.
assessment of strength and function in the performance of static
and dynamic movements, as well as measurement of isometric
contractions, allowing clients to practice appropriate neuromotor
patterns.
