• The Almanac reduces the information in the
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance by
3,000 pages. ( which will save you time)
• The Almanac is structured in four parts
• Part I – provides basic guidelines on using this
book
• Part II- outlines domestic financial aid and
assistance programs available as of July, 2013.
• Part III- shows funding levels for all programs
and data from the last fiscal years.
• Part IV- Provides addresses and phone numbers
from more than 3,000 field offices
• The provided information is only provided for
the users of the Almanac. Thus creating a
benefit using this specific Almanac.

alphabetically , functionally, or
type of assistance. They are
organized by agency or
administering department.
Each program is identified by
a five digit number.
- The first two digits identify
the administrative sub-unit.
-- Italicized program numbers
indicate programs that provide
financial assistance.
The Master Index is the best tool
to find and identify available
assistance.

Trustworthy?
• The information is provided by 67 departments,
commissions, agencies, bureaus, and other assistance
programs.
• The programs are always updated within the year of its
published date in every edition and 268 programs have
been deleted from the ATLAS but have produced 2,023 (as
of July, 2013)federal programs available to users.
• The publisher Omnigraphics mission has been to provide
authoritative reference resources to libraries and schools.
The areas of interest covered by Omnigraphics
biography,history,health,culture, and ready reference.
