Balsall Common Primary School had a visit from Starchaser Industries, who brought a real rocket for the students to see. CEO Steve Bennett gave a talk about the history of Starchaser and rocketry. Each of the school's 21 classes got to see the rocket up close and launch a foot pump powered rocket. The visit was a memorable experience that complemented the curriculum in science, technology, engineering and math. The children greatly enjoyed learning about space and rockets.

Balsall Common Primary School had a real treat recently when they were visited by Steve Bennett, CEO of Starchaser Industries, with a real life rocket! In 2001 Starchaser launched the biggest ever rocket to have flown from the UK, so they really know their stuff. There was a real buzz in school with a countdown to launch beginning with a talk about the history of Starchaser and one of the teachers getting to try on a real space suit. The whole school got involved having space based learning and each of the school’s 21 classes took turns to see the rocket up close and to have a go at setting off a foot pump powered rocket. Did the children enjoy it? Definitely, it was FAB! Howard Rose, Funding & Publicity Manager said: “I would like to thank Steve and everyone at Starchaser Industries for coming in to school. It has been a truly memorable experience for all of the children. Starchaser's educational activities complement the UK national curriculum and help inspire and motivate students at all levels in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
