This document discusses human mobility and immigration in Poland over time. It notes that immigration is not new to Poland, as some of the first immigrants were Jews in the 15th century. More recently, since the 1989 political transformation, the main immigrant groups have come from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Vietnam and Germany for purposes of work, business, study or marriage. Ukrainians make up the largest group, drawn by higher wages and cultural similarities. The rights of immigrants in Poland include rights to work, healthcare, education and the process for obtaining Polish citizenship after 5 years of residency is outlined.
