- 3. Methodology - Data Collec:on & Calcula:on: ! We track the daily prices of every product in our summer basket. ! ! We calculate the average price of each product in every country whole summer so far. ! ! We sum up all the average prices of every product in each country and take their average to calculate both Prisync 100 Index and category index. ! ! We take the average of average prices and then divide that number to countries average. This is how we calculate Prisync 100 Index for summer basket and categories. For example in the case below, we divide 6721,64 to 6664,02 to 鍖nd out Prisync 100 Index of the summer basket of Netherlands. ! !
- 14. Findings: ! According to the data that we collect for 39 products, we can clearly see that France has the highest prices in overall and Germany has the lowest prices. ! Besides France has the highest prices in overall, our summer basket is expensive for Spanish people as they have the lowest GDP per capita among the 6 countries. ! The purchasing power of our summer basket for Dutch and German people are same. ! France has the highest prices in di鍖erent 6 categories. ! Germany and Italy both have the lowest prices in 3 di鍖erent categories. ! !
