This document outlines the stages of problem-based learning: define, dream, deliver, and debrief. The define stage is stating the problem clearly. The dream stage envisions solutions by thinking creatively about what could be. The deliver stage puts a plan into action to solve the problem. The debrief stage reflects on the process and product to improve for the future.
3. Define Stage
State or Define what
the problem is.
Make sure we have a
clear understanding
of the problem.
5. Dream Stage
Looking into the future and seeing the
problem solved.
‘What is’ to the possibilities of ‘what could
be’.
Cultivate creativity, innovation and
imagination
8. Deliver Stage
Two components of the Deliver Stage.
Produce and Implement.
Put the plan into action.
Complete the process of solving the problem
which we originally defined.
10. Debrief Stage
Most important part of the six Ds.
Reflection.
Look over the product and process.
How could the product and process be
made better now or next time?
