Project AIMS is a state-funded program run through the Council on Postsecondary Education aimed at providing academic and cultural enrichment activities for minority middle and high school students. The program is directed by Jackie Pillow and provides weekly sessions at WKU focused on STEM and cultural topics to expose students to college and increase the number of minorities that graduate from postsecondary education. Volunteers are needed to assist the director in implementing programs and activities.

Project: A.I.M.S. is a state funded program

Project: AIMS summer component is an
educational and cultural enrichment field trip
which is designed to broaden each
participants horizons by exposing them to
cultural, educational, and professional
possibilities. The participants chosen for this
field trip have exhibited a positive attitude,
cooperation, and respect.

20. PROJECT AIMS
In my personal experience Project AIMS is more than a
job to me. It helps me understand what minorities are
going through in their external environment. The
programs that are set in place is set up for prevention,
intervention and education. I want to continue to help
children and help families continuing to grow strong.
