Mr. Leggett's 5th grade class engaged in a project-based learning activity called "Selling Colonial America." The students created brochures, info posters, and flyers to advertise the advantages and job opportunities of their assigned colonial regions. They also produced a Colonial Hall of Fame and advertising posters to enhance their one-minute sales pitches promoting settlement in their specific colonies.

- 2. Selling Colonial America Students created a brochure advertising the advantages of moving to their colonial region.
- 3. Selling Colonial America Students produced an info poster on a specific colony. The posters were displayed in class and used as a reference for brochures, speeches and tests.

- 5. Selling Colonial America To help advertise their colonial region, students needed to understand job opportunities awaiting people who moved to their area. They created flyers for their businesses.
- 6. Selling Colonial America Students created an advertising poster for their colonial region. The ad was used as a visual during their one- minute sales pitch on the area.
