Asghar Zaidi is working on a project for Marico to validate outlets and do a competitive analysis for Saffola products like muesli and oats in Mumbai-II region. Project Description: Part of Brand building for Saffola in Functional Food
Our Job: Validate the outlets for Marico Food Category like Saffola Muesli,
Oats and Masala Oats, Do a competitive analysis of the same in comparison to
Quaker and Kellogg or any other brand present in the breakfast space. Look Out
for Shelf Space and intimate the marketing department and Sales team about the
opportunities.
2. Report
Meeting with MR. Shiladitya, Regional Sales Manager at Andheri head-office,
Marico India Ltd. He gave us a project on business development of products
especially Oats in a food category. He gave us a database of uncovered outlets
which company bought from A.C. Nelson for Rs25 lacks. Then he appointed
Mr Vijay Bahadur Singh, Sales promoter as our project mentor.
We Are given four tasks on the basis of which our performance will be
measured.
1) To cross verify the A.C. Nelson Database of outlets with the Company
database of outlets to find out the marico codes of outltets which are
already covered by company.
2) To find out the outlets which are given in the A.C. Nelson list and
convince the owner to make oats available in their shop.
3) To find out the outlets which are not given in the A.C. Nelson list and
convince the owner to make oats available in their shop.
4) Direct sales representative Training.
I have been working for Mumbai-II region, in which company has fourteen
(14) distributors out of which I m working with seven (7) distributors.
