Students were asked to draw representations of what a project is in preparation for a presentation on the history of software project management. The drawings showed major features of project management including timelines, which were mostly straight lines but some included loops or feedback cycles, and ingredients like financial incentives, sharing ideas, and building something. However, the drawings did not emphasize the spatial aspect which is an important feature of project organization.
