Pharrell Williams released a 24-hour music video for his song "Happy" featuring hundreds of people performing the song in various locations around Los Angeles over the course of a day. The ambitious marketing project was a collaboration between Pharrell's label, Universal Music, and production companies iamOTHER and Iconoclast. Over 400 people were cast to perform the song 14 times per hour at locations like downtown LA, Hollywood, LAX, Silver Lake, and Echo Park while being filmed guerrilla-style. An official 4-minute edit of the video was released on YouTube along with promotional websites to showcase the various remakes from the project.
