3. BRIEF INTRODUCTIONOF KATNI DISTRICT
Katni district is located in the Northeastern part of
Madhya Pradesh it forms the northern district of
Jabalpur commissionerate division. The district extends
from 23 属37N to 24 属80 N and from 79 属57 E to 80 属58 E.
and height from sea level is 392 m. There are three major
rivers in Mudwara Katni, Chhoti Mahanadi and Umdar.
The shape of this district is roughly oval.
Katni t is one of the 24 most backward districts of
Madhya Pradesh that is receiving funds from the
