Project Success Story
In my previous position as an accountant for Washington Hospital Center from January 2001 to February 2011, I've implemented a computerized capital budget review system in Lotus Notes. I worked closely with Washington Hospital Center's management and financial accounting systems department. Result: The computerized version was instrumental in a quicker and more efficient time frame for the capital review process.
I've worked on a continuous Xerox copier project on a monthly basis for two years. I've identified zero usage copiers and contacted department heads. Prepared an Excel spread sheet (tracking system) and provided to WHC's management and Xerox's management. Result: Prevented WHC from being double billed for non operational copiers.
Accountant position I've researched, reconciled, and analyzed two hundred fifty construction in progress accounts utilizing the Lawson system and Excel spreadsheets. Prepared journal entries for incorrectly coded  projects. Results: Presented findings to management who decided which CIP accounts are completed.
