The document describes the history and activities of the Indian Co-operative Oncology Network (ICON), an organization established in 1999 to promote cancer awareness and education among medical professionals in India. Over the years, ICON has organized numerous conferences around the country and grown its membership to over 300 oncologists. More recently, ICON launched PromOTE India programs to provide one-day continuing medical education courses on various aspects of cancer care to doctors across India, with the goal of training over 10,000 physicians in the coming year through these expanded efforts.
