The prototype consisted of cutting a plastic cup in half and taping the halves to the bottom of a plastic bowl to balance the weight. A plastic bowl was placed on top to hold additional weight. Several trials were conducted adding pennies to test how much mass the prototype could hold before flipping over. On average it held 391.6 grams but the tape came off when wet, indicating areas for improvement.
