Djengo started as a platform for carpooling to events but pivoted twice, becoming a platform for daily commutes between home and work. It facilitates carpooling to reduce transportation costs, emissions, and congestion as most trips are made by car. Djengo saw rapid expansion across Belgium and into other countries from 2012-2014, with over 1000 people sharing rides weekly and 53% monthly growth in user numbers in 2014.

#13: Today is the beginning of new revolution in Urban Mobility. And I’m proud to say Djump is part of it.

#15: With Djump, we connect drivers and passengers from our private community. We think that cars can bring people closer not just by driving them to their destination but by allowing them to share their views, their friendships and a ride.

#18: The app is very simple to use and consists in 5 easy steps.
First, you open the app and request a driver. Then you can see you are matched with a driver around your location. Here is Julia.
After that, you can track your driver on the map. When he arrives, djump in his car and enjoy the ride. And at the end of the trip, rate your driver and choose the amount you want to pay.
Here is a short video to show you what the djump experience looks like.
#24: We’ve launched Djump last year in Brussels & Paris and we can see a strong growth in the last 6 months. Today, more than one thousand people are sharing rides on a weekly basis thanks to our app. But for us, this is only the beginning.
#25: With Djump, we want to be directly integrated in your car. That’s why we are already in discussion with Apple to have an early access to their brand new Apple CarPlay. We believe this is the future of mobility. You will be able to take someone on the road without even think about it.
With this kind of system, we will be able to build a fully decentralized transportation system composed of people like you and me.
#26: But to build this future, we need political support.
Since the beginning of this adventure, we have worked with the authorities both at local and European level.
It is clear we need a new set of rules for the sharing economy and to encourage innovation from entrepreneurs, not to stop it.
#27: And I want to leave you on this quote. Learn from the past, prepare for the future and live in the present.
