FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
The Technical Expertise to support the LG&CDD in
Project preparatory studies in applicant cities, design of
program and Env Safeguards and PFR and Tranches in
close coordination with concerned agencies .
 Moreover, the unit is working as a channel between
the applicant cities and ADB.
Strategic support to LG&CDD for program design and
PMU establishment at LG&CDD and Cities
.

THE PPROPSOED ROLE OF URBAN
UNIT
 With reference to Para 21 of ADBs Aid
memoir (after ADBs Mission), the Urban
Unit on the request of LG&CDD could
provide the required office space to consultant
team to ensure efficient day-to-day
collaboration of the consultants with GoPb
Agencies in transaction period if required
including key staff in cities and LG&CDD as
required
 Supporting Cities & LG&CDD for CDIA
Pre Feasibility and management of
International Consultants and PPTA
Sialkot and
Sahiwal Cities
have Submitted
their Application
of PPTA
through CDIA.

develop and undertake joint capacity
development activities to promote
cooperation and knowledge sharing in
Infrastructure Investment Prioritization and
Programming in Pakistan
 Work together to adapt, implement and
disseminate the CDIA CIIPP Tool,
materials and mechanisms that will
capacitate the Pakistani government
officials.
SCOPE of Studies
 The assignment will be undertaken in two
phases consisting of the development of
an integrated 5 Year Medium Term
Infrastructure Investment Plan (Phase 1)
and follow-on Pre-feasibility Studies (PFS)
for priority urban infrastructure
investments in a selected sector (s)
(Phase 2).
 It is anticipated that the outcome of Phase
1 MTIIP (recommendations on phased
investments and identification of priority
investments) will provide the focus and
framework for Phase 2 PFSs in each city.
The total duration of the assignment will
be 4 months with Phase 1 completed
between months 1 to 2, and Phase 2
completed between months 3 to 4
