The Joint Forces Headquarters 3rd annual Purple Pig Run will take place on February 11th at Stone Mountain Park to commemorate Georgia Day and the anniversary of General Oglethorpe's landing in Savannah. Participants can run or walk around the mountain, with awards given to the first male and female and guidon team to finish. The $20 entry fee includes a t-shirt, bib, post-run lunch, and the event starts at 10:30am.

1. Join us as we Run the Mountain Time for Georgias Joint Forces Headquarters 3d annual Purple Pig Run. Well be at Stone Mountain Park to mark the anniversary of General Oglethorpes landing at Savannah on Feb. 12, 1733, a date now known as Georgia Day. How? Well, by running, of course. Event starts at 1030, by 1100 you will be running, walking (or crawling) around the mountain. A $20 entrance fee gets you a Purple Pig t-shirt, commemorative running bib, a post-game cook-out lunch, and a tremendous sense of inner peaceor perspiration (its one or the other, I forget - but hey, free lunch, huh?).
