This document discusses efforts to expand global high-speed research and education networks through partnerships between network operators. It describes the Ana-300G collaboration connecting North America and Europe with 100Gbps links (growing to 900Gbps) and plans to connect Asia and Europe with 300Gbps links. The partnerships are formalized through non-binding memorandums of understanding and focus on network interconnection, research, application development and traffic backup between networks.

Peering VLAN & route server on GXPs
A public peering VLAN and route server is facilitate the implementation of
peering arrangements, and to lower the barrier of entry for new R&E Network
participants on an Open Exchange peering platform, by minimizing the effort to
maintain peering sessions.
Automating service provisioning across ANA
Nowadays provisioning service across the global R&E network based on GNA, is
time consuming. NOCs responsible for the infrastructure often exchange over
100 e-mails to activate a service. The core goals of this group is to make this
more efficient by automating this process.
