Editor's Notes

  1. Good afternoon to all the judges, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who helped us along the way. It is through the development of this venture, that we have been greatly empowered to change the world for the better. As Mr John Kennedy once said The only reason to give a speech is to change the worldAnd therefore, my topic today is:
  2. Like most consumers, what we do to a bottle after drinking from it is to throw it away, which translates to - filling landfills for hundreds of years. Thats it. All the resources expended, to make and transport the bottles, just for that single serve. But what if, you know that 8 of these bottles can be transformed into something beautiful, like the t-shirts we are wearing? What if,10,000 people chose to recycle and wear these t-shirts? And what if, we can save a million bottles, influence a million people and businesses, all by purchasing these eco-friendly products?

  7. Well to make this t-shirt, the recycled bottles are crushed, melted, and drawn into threads. They are not only fast-drying and comfortable, they actually save about 30% carbon emission compared to manufacturing them from virgin crude oil. Companies like Nike and New balance have already been using a similar technology for their products. But many people are still unaware of this magic. Yes, Bottles into T-shirts! We are intend to sell to consumers online and to corporates.

  9. To fulfil our mission of saving a million bottles, we strongly believe in collective action. This is exactly why our retail business model utilises the crowd-sourcing model. This means that any designers can submit their work and we will reward and print the top rated designs. Hence the consumers are the creators. They create, decide and buy what they want.
  10. Not only that, they get to chose which organisations they want to support as part of the proceeds from each t-shirt sold goes to a non-profit group.Such as ACRES and Lion Club.By providing by this platform, we want to gather people who care, by designing or to buy something beautiful for themselves while helping to save the environment a social cause all at the same time.
  11. First, let me touch on gathering people to be the heroes of a million bottles. To make this t-shirt, the recycled bottles are crushed, melted, and drawn into threads. 16. And yes, we are of course talking to corporates that have similar values to ours , for example Siloso Beach Resort.! These corporates want to further their reach to green consumers. Which is what we are able to provide, for example by holding a special designing contest for their uniform. These will create more engagement from the public as well as enchancing the CSR image of the company .
