task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?
Evaluation Question 7
2. Looking back at my school magazine I think that
there is a lot of detail missing and that my work
really isn¡¯t of the best quality. My music magazine
is a lot more professional looking than my school
magazine. I think this because I have analyzed
some rock magazines whereas I rushed my school
mag. I know now that it takes time to research
and plan to get the best result. I have developed
an understanding on how little, like the change of
colour, tone can make a product look great or
make it a disaster.
3. looking back at the work that I have done I think
that I have done quite a shoddy job at it all, in my
school magazine there are a range of different
fonts and colours. Some people think that this is
all well and good but it lacks technical elements
(photo editor). Looking at my front page of my
music magazine we see that there is a lot more
colour, technical elements are being used and
there is not as much space left on the page unlike
my school mag.
4. My contents page of my music magazine has a
much better structure than my school
magazine and looks more professional than
my school mag. My school magazine was not
laid out in a professional manner, there were
large amounts of empty space. My title was
overly large and disproportioned to the rest of
the front of the page. On my music magazine I
looked at style models which helped my to
construct them better.
5. My double page spread for my music magazine was
clearly laid out, writing on the left and picture on
the right. I used one large image on my double
page spread and an interview on the other. All
things considered I think that my publishing skills
have improved massively since the begging when
I created my school magazine. I have learnt a bit
more on camera work and how to use a variety of
different software to show the best quality. I
think that my music magazine is more
professional compared to my school magazine. I
think this because of the depth of planning.
