Purpose of Questionnaire: -
ï‚— Identifying the problem.
Qualities of good Questions:-
ï‚— should be simple, clear and unambiguous
ï‚— Should be manageable
ï‚— Within interest of researcher
ï‚— Verify the parameter
ï‚— Direct utility
ï‚— Finding should be maintained
ï‚— establish the relation between dependent and independent
variable
Type of Question: -
1. Structure Question: -Answer should be in text or
numerical form, or would be of monotomous or
dichotomous nature.
E.g. How old are you?, Are you a male?
2. Semi structure Question: -Answer should be in short
form.
E.g. What is your name?, Where do you live?
3. Open ended Question: -Answer should have no limit
and vary from person to person.
E.g. Describe about politics in your view.
Type of Question: -
4. RankItem Question: -Answer would be in rank type.
E.g. Which place would you prefer to visit?
5. Hypothetical Question: -Answer would be in
hypothetical basis.
E.g. If the cost of car decreases by 20%, would you buy
it?
6. Pre-assuming Question: -Assumption
E.g. Whom did you vote in last election?

7. Behavior Question: -Answer should be of
8. Memory Question: -Answer should determine about
a memory of the person.
E.g. Was Ranipokhari very deep in 1975?
9. Embarrassing Question: -Embarrass the person in
answering the question.
E.g. Where were you at 9pm last Saturday?

10. Random response Technique: -Answer is very
sensitive but can’t asked directly.
E.g. Are you a HIV AIDS victim?
