Most students recognized the European Union flag but had incomplete knowledge about the EU. While over half knew democracy originated in Greece, many students understood democratic power comes from the people. The questionnaire also found students aware of the EU's impact on their lives and wanting to learn more about the European Union.
3. A total of 80 students from 8 countries answered the project
participated in the questionnaire.
Most students (95%) recognized the flag of the European
Union, while 5% did not.
They knew a few things about the European Union but their
knowledge was not complete.
As for democracy, only 53% knew where democracy was
born.
A large percentage of the students knew that in the
democratic state the power derives from the people.
The pupils are aware of the impact of the EU on their (daily)
lives.
They want to know more about the European Union.
