Here in London today we met up with Taylor Boardman down in a local coffee shop
to talk about the artists career.
1. You vent through twitter a lot. What is the most irritating tweet you have
received from a fan? I would have to say that most general tweet I get from
fans is the follow me tweet. Where fans complain and argue about how they
are a better fan than other people and how they deserve a follow to prove
this to the world
2. Do you think your music fits into the indie genre? I feel that my style of music
fits into the genre quite comfortably, as I try to confine myself to the classic
instruments that would be used back in my day when I was a kid such as
acoustic and electric guitars. I was inspired to create my music the way I loved
to listen to it.
3. Do you prefer gigs or festivals? If im to be honest I love festivals so much
more than gigs the atmosphere is great and you know that everyone has come
to see you perform no matter the conditions. Im allowed to bea lotmore
flexible with the way I get my music out to the audience.
4. Favourite location to perform and why?My home town has to always be my
favourite location because its where it all began for me and I couldnt be
happier every time I perform there. It also gives me a chance to perform to my
family, friends and also my fans all at once. Its a great experience for me and I
couldnt pick a better place to perform.
5. What was your worst job before your music career? I used to work as a
waiter for a local restaurant. It was the worst job ever the hours were hard
and having to deal with customers that dont understand how stressful it is
when dealing with your job and their little complaints every 5 minutes.
6. What would you say your best album? I dont really like to pick but wherethe
light is my favourite album just because it holds most of my successful songs
such as Stop this train and Free Fallin. I like to think of that album as my
greatest hits. If youre to recommend any album to a friend I would always
choose that.
7. How hard is it to write a song, how long does it take? There are different
methods the one I use the most is just grabbing a guitar and jamming out for a
while coming up with a rhythm and then. Then start to put words and
sentences with the songs that then form into rough songs that can be changed
depending on the I instruments used or the way I want to sing it.
