I had the pleasure of working with Roxanne Marx, who was employed as a Buyer with Huisman North
America Services, both as her colleague from our sales group (Aug 2013-Sep 2014) and supervisor in the
supply chain (Oct 2014-May 2015). During her tenure here, Roxanne was responsible for sourcing,
negotiating, buying, and expediting a wide variety of parts, tools & equipment, consumables, and services
in support of our in-house production and offshore equipment restoration and modification operations.
Due to the nature of the offshore, oil and gas business, where hundreds of thousands of dollars are on
the line every day, Roxanne is no stranger to working under pressure and doing whatever it takes to get
critical goods and services when and where needed to keep our clients’ equipment running, thus
preventing any losses from happening. In so doing, Roxanne has, time and again, demonstrated her
flexibility; resourcefulness; product and services knowledge; negotiating abilities; teamwork; and
expediency.
Additionally, Roxanne was a volunteer and advocate for our global culture change/values program. She
was never afraid to speak up and suggest ideas to improve and invigorate the program and colleagues,
respectively.
