The document discusses random acts of kindness (RAOKs), which are selfless acts done to help others without expectation of reward. It notes that RAOKs make the world a better place. The document then provides a form for a young person to commit their own RAOK and have it verified by a parent or teacher. The form explains that the person committing the RAOK will not receive prizes or awards, but rather wants to learn how to be kind by helping others. Space is provided to describe the specific RAOK.

1. A random act of kindness or RAoK is a selfless act performed by kind people with the
intent to help someone else, with no expectation of thanks or reward. It can be either
spontaneous or planned in advance. RAoKs make the world a better place. Since you are
a young person, we want to give you the opportunity to learn how to do this on your own.
Elma Saturday Basketball believes in RAoKs, so we have created this form so you can
practice being kind.

To my parent or teacher:
I give you this sheet because I want to do a Random Act of Kindness. I may need help
thinking of ideas of how I can be kind to others.
In the space provided below, please help me describe my act of kindness. I recognize that
I will not receive any prizes or awards for my act of kindness, and that I am doing it to
help me learn how to become a kind person. I like people who are kind and I want to be
one of them.
I _______________________, attest that ___________________________ committed a
random act of kindness as part of their efforts to become a kinder person.
