Students choose their own books to read and discuss in groups as part of Reading Circles. This collaborative and student-centered strategy has students first select a book together and then assigns them one of four roles when discussing the book, such as summarizer, connector, or illustrator. The goal is to get kids excited about reading by letting them have ownership over their book choice and discussions.
