After the CPA, South Sudan
started to realized the
importance of skill training and
with the help of the
international community.
Vocational training center
were created and those
existing before were upgraded
for advance skills that will
develop the technical and
vocational capacity, although
currently there is gap that
exists.

2. IMPROVED SKILL IN
SOUTH SUDAN
With the current state of
skills, there is currently need for
creating awareness to learn the
modern skills that can enable
South Sudan to construct such
storey buildings and those skills
require technology to be impact
to student who may be able to
work on buildings of that type
shown in the right hand side.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
There is need for students to
acquire knowledge for
developing competencies in
skills that would build up an
industrial nation.
Therefore it is advisable for
students who needs advance
skills to attend to formal
trainings in the technical and
vocational institutions.

Those students who have
obtained formal skill training
are able to build up a good
structures and create an

5. RSS/IGAD INITIATIVE
With the help of the
international
community, Republic of South
Sudan with partnership with
IGAD [International
Governmental Agency for
Development] have attached
some personnel to the technical
and vocational center to
reinforced skills that will develop
the skill capacity.
The experts will work together
with their South Sudanese
counterpart to improve and
upgrade their performances.

6. INFRASTRUCTURES IN
SOUTH SUDAN IN 1980’s
Without skills, those
infrastructure constructed by
the northern Sudanese cannot
be maintained, therefore there
is need to encourage our
nationals now to only not look
for white color jobs; but attend
to skill courses where the
nations can stand on its own
feet.

7. SKILL IMPROVEMENT
CONFERENCE
Planning together to create
better plans are an advantage
for the technical and vocational
institutions and this formulates
good working scheme and
develop good working
relationship.
Developing curriculum and
training schedules requires joint
efforts and sharing discussions.

8. FORMAL SKILL TRAINING
CENTER
The technical and vocational
center must be created in every
state and well equipped with
training tools, materials and
machines or equipment.
Gender balance must
encouraged and motivated those
disadvantaged.
