Recent Activities
1. Recent Activities;
I am a Textile Engineer with production back ground. Some of my recent activities which have given a
great profit to my current employer are,
1- Reducing/ regularizing the stocks levels of dyes, chemicals and usable list from 243 items to 84 items.
2- Reduction of monthly stock level of dyes and chemicals from 1300 million rupees to 400 million rupees
for an average production of 1.8 million meters ( product mix was special finishing and disperse, Vat and
Reactive dyes, which are costly items). This has been done by taking following steps,
a) Frequent travelling to China/ India to search alternates of multinational manufacturers of dyes and
chemicals keeping in view present strict situation of all certifications like OekoTex, Reach and others.
b) Lab working ( complete testing like staining/ crocking, light and other fastnesses) for the tailor made
products.
c) Searching for products from such companies (Chinese/ Indians), which are supplying to multinationals
and believe you me i have seen stamped cartons of multinational company's products in their godowns
myself. I have given a monthly profit of 300 million to 500 million rupees depending on volume to my
employer.
The only risk factor, which I eliminate, was the certifications. We never face any complaint/ objection in
last 5 years since we have been using these products.
d) In-house Manufacturing of certain Softeners/ Fixers/ other chemicals to reduce chemical cost for the
company.
e) Eventually, Master group's complete sourcing has been done under my supervision and i also
regularize the product list of Stitching/ Garment washing section, which has given a strong benefit to
Master Textiles.
Really, this was not a simple thing to be done. It needs a very close coordination of lab and production
people and a very strong follow up as well. All responsibility of complaint/ objection/ results is lying at my
shoulders.
3- When I joined, processing was of 1.2 million meters capacity which has increased to 3.5 million meters
now. In my tenure, we have added following machines,
a) New Chinese double stage Bleaching plant from Red Flag.
b) One single stage Goller bleaching plant.
c) Two Monforts continuous dyeing ranges( pad thermosol pad steam one line).
d) Two Stenters 10 chamber's each.
e) Proban Finishing machine for flame retardant fabrics.
f) Two mercerizing machine one with chain and other with clips.
2. 4) After sales service was a strong area I enjoyed. You can ask lot may local/ commercial customers, who
were there because they were getting excellent services from me. You can ask LCWIKIK (TEMA) Local
Team about the quality improvement since I joined, and there was almost Zero complaint for last one
year. Talking about elasten fabric for PFGD, Dyed European fashion market, I feel myself a stable quality
supplier with minimum issues.
5) Quality control is my key area, both on line and in line quality has been monitored very strictly and a
total free hand was given to on line quality people, if they feel they can even stop the machine but quality
related problems should be strictly addressed, where it starts.
