Branisteanu for well over 25 years, when he was living in New York, NY and engaged in Operational Turnarounds and Corporate Finance of companies with very substantial sales, including assisting banks with their hundreds of millions in OREO holdings. Haim has special qualities of quickly grasping the main problems within an enterprise due to his multifaceted experience and knowledge, in physics, electronics, complex (structured) finance and life sciences. We had many discussions related to my academic work and published academic papers whereby he demonstrated valuable insights and further confirmed that he is an open minded quick learner. More so, upon his return to Tel Aviv to care for his ill mother, we exchanged numerous views on my work as a Prof. in Biology and he demonstrated in depth knowledge related to the various subjects he was interested in launching/initiating, including those related to material science and life science, microbial interaction, plant development, or the workings of the rhizosphere and many other subjects, which resulted from his multidisciplinary education, be it formal or self-足taught. I was pleased to assist him in his efforts as a scientific adviser to his proposed projects being aware of his industrious attitude and the strong willingness to learn new knowledge needed for those projects even that he had no official education on the subject matter.
