In Trauma Cases: AP/PA , Oblique (for ribs)
For suspected fracture in clavicle:
- AP/PA and Infero-Superior
Shoulder:
AP : Basic view
Superior-Inferior (axial), oblique : accessory views
Scapula:
AP and Y view .

For TMJ Dislocation:
1)Fronto Occipital
2)Lateral ( open mouth and teeth clenched)

1) Occipito Mental (open
mouth view): to project
the petrous part of the
temporal bone below
the floor of the
maxillary sinuses so
that the fluid level or
pathological changes in
the lower part of the
sinuses can be
visualized clearly.
1) Occipito Frontal: to
demonstrate frontal
Abdomen and Pelvic Cavity
For non clinical conditions:
Mammography
Summary!
Foot injury in heel: Heel lateral , axial
Leg: Ap , lateral
Ankle: AP , Mortise and lateral
Knee: AP , Lateral
Wt bearing B/ L Knees
Thigh: AP , Lateral
Pelvis: AP . IF Head or neck of Femur is injured
then hip lateral of the same injured side. (No
pelvis lateral)
Chest: PA and Lateral.
In injury/ trauma : AP / PA and oblique of ribs.
Shoulder: AP , Oblique, Axial ( NO Lateral)
In hand trauma: Scaphoid series ( if pain or
tenderness present in snuff box)
Acute abdomen: Chest PA and abd errect,
Supine
PNS: LAT, OM
Skull, Lat and OF ( PA)
All spine : AP , Lateral
