The Regional Leaders Academy was a 2017-2018 initiative that selected 26 Pennsylvania school librarians to help create a statewide communication network. Each leader was matched with a mentor and participated in training to develop a personalized learning experience. At the 2018 PSLA conference, the leaders presented posters summarizing their personalized learning projects from the past school year. The poster session provided an opportunity for leaders to explain their projects and for conference attendees to learn about the academy.

Leaders Academy
The Regional Leaders Academy, a 2017-2018 LSTA-funded collaborative initiative between PSLA and
the University of Pittsburgh School Library Certification Program, competitively selected 26 PA
school librarians located regionally across the state who assisted in creating a statewide
communication network to reach and connect with all PA school librarians.
Each Regional Leader was matched with a mentor, participated in a four-day immersive experience
during which they developed a Personalized Learning Experience (PLE), and over the school year
received guidance and affirmation from theirs mentors and peers in f2f and video-conferencing
sessions.
