This document provides listening and speaking exercises about situations involving dental pain, missing a family member, and worrying about a family member in the hospital. It includes pictures to look at and describe potential situations, short dialogs to listen to and complete, and practice asking and suggesting questions with rising and falling intonation. Students then work in pairs doing a role play about dental pain and suggesting making a dentist appointment.
