      for sustainable development
   2. People should learn that the next generation inherits a community at least
      as healthy, diverse and productive as it is today
   3. The government should initiate programs that encourage companies to make
      products that are designed to be thrownaway after one use.
4. Everyone must be informed that using more resources than they need is a serious
      threat to the health and welfare of future generations.
   5. Laws and rules to protect the environment do not need to be more strict
       than they are now.
   6. Reducing poverty is an important topic in education for sustainable
       development. .
   7. Sustainable development in this country will not be possible until richer people
       stopexploiting the workers and the natural resources of poorer countries.
   8. Emphasis should be given to companies that are environmentally responsible
       are more likely to make aprofit over the long run.
   9. The teaching of living sustainably should be included in all subjects in all
       grades.
   10. The government should encourage greater use of fuelefficient vehicles
