Crocodiles carry their babies in their mouths and move them from place to place. Tortoises have four legs while turtles have flippers. Komodo dragons have strong tails that they use to kill prey. Reptiles shed their skin and change color to protect themselves from predators, and some can live in deserts.

Rocks are composed of more than one mineral, while minerals are pure substances composed of the same material. Minerals have distinct crystal structures and chemical compositions, and can be elements, sulfates, or oxides containing metals and oxygen. Common rocks and minerals are used for construction materials, electronics, jewelry, and other applications depending on their properties.
