 Strengths and weaknesses, and
 Values and beliefs
 It explains our behavior and it also predicts our
feelings
FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE SELF-AWARENESS
 The are many factors or things that
influence how well you know yourself.
The following are some of the factors
that influence ones self-awareness;
 The media, the media has a powerful
immediate and direct effect on the
people who use it.
 Peer pressure
 How people like your parents, friends
and other people in your surrounding
treat you.
SELF-ESTEEM
 self-esteem refers to how much you like yourself, it
also involves how you feel about yourself, how much
you value and rate yourself, how confident you are
and how much you believe in yourself. There are two
types of self-esteem which includes, positive and
negative self-esteem.
 You can tell if a person has high self-esteem if they;
 Like, accept and believes in themselves
 Feel confident
 Know their strengths and working at becoming even
stronger
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SELF-ESTEEM
Positive self-esteem
 It refers to when one feels good
about themselves.
Negative self-esteem
 it refers to negative perception of
ones worth it characterized with low
self-esteem and self doubt.
