This document discusses the issue of cyberpornography and its prevalence in the Philippines. It notes that cyberpornography involving children is a criminal offense. The newly inventedof pornography , to be called Cyberporn,would not only revolutionizw its own industry, but also help to speed the developmentand growth of the internet. Feeding off of each other, technologyand pornography have played an equally transforming role in our current methods of communication. It is important to note that in the past, communication
technologies that were prevented from being used as a means of sexual communication were vastly subjectto failure. Pornography and technology are so tightly woven together that it would appear that neither can exist without the other, atleast not in their current forms. Partly due to their interest in technology, it is no surprise that geek especiallyof the male gender,are commonconsumers of the cyberpornindustry. The industry is estimated to be the highest grossing sectoron the internet, and for many geek who spend a significant amount time it is difficultto avoid. This paper will not discuss the moral concerns of pornography, because through they exist, this portrayal is meant to be factual and not opinonated, and one cannot discuss mprtals without opinions. Therefore,the definition sufficeswithout arguing for a specific point in which the viewing of pornography becomes an addiction.

If there was a will to control cyberpornography,by this time we could have done it. Statement of the Problem : PRESENTATION OF DATA ON CYBERPORNOGRAPHY BASED ON DSWD VISAYAS : According to Sec. Corazon Soliman . We have to ensure more stringent implementationof our laws to protect the vulnerable women and children from the dangers of cyberchild pornography and prostitution, Says Sec. Corazon Soliman . The conference aimed to create a higher level of awareness among target audiences on general child protection issues,appreciate and discuss the benefits and risks of cyber age on children including the possibilityof being victimized by so-called online predators,define the ideal cyberspace that is safe and protective of childrens rights, and identify ways of protecting children from online offensesand aggressions.
Soliman highlighted the various Philippine legislations to ensure that the rights of children are upheld and their welfare is promoted.These include the Act Defining Cyber Crime, Anti-Child Pornography Act, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, and the Child and Youth Welfare Code. The challenge is for us to be creative using preciselythe same medium to protect the children and inform the parents on the evils of child pornography, Secretary Soliman stressed. Moreover,SecretarySoliman mentioned that through DSWDs Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, specifically, the Family Development Sessions (FDS), parent-beneficiaries are taught responsible parenthood and values which they can pass on to their children. Pantawid Pamilya keeps the children in school and healthy so that they will not end up in the streets or be potential victims of trafficking, Secretary Soliman said. To date, Pantawid Pamilya benefits 3.94 million families and 8.92 million children.
Meanwhile Secretary Soliman cited the latest issue on Sweetie, the virtual 10-year old Filipina used by a group of child advocates to unmask over 1,000 pedophilesaround the world, as alarming. This is a wake-up call for all of us that there is a great demand for Filipino girls in cyber pornography. We should strengthen enforcementof laws, and parents must be responsible in monitoring their childrens cyber activities, Secretary Soliman ended.
