- 5. Hank Snow was one of the biggest Country stars in the 1950s and 60s. Lived here from 1950 until his death in 1999. Affiliated with RCA Records and the Grand Ole Opry for almost fifty years. Hits included Im Moving On, Hello, Love, Ive Been Everywhere, Golden Rocket, Rhumba Boogie, I Dont Hurt Anymore, etc. An early supporter of Elvis Presley (and was supposed to be his co-manager). Rainbow Ranch is one of the first home studios, where Snow recorded demos, vocals, and full-length albums. Wrote the historical narrative for the Metro Landmark (Feb. 18) and National Register nominations (submitted May 18). HANK SNOWS RAINBOW RANCH

- 8. KING RECORDS BUILDINGS Home of Syd Nathans King Records and recording studio (1944-1972). Home of James Brown, Stanley Brothers, Hank Ballard, Delmore Brothers, Wynonie Harris, and the Dominoes (Jackie Wilson and Clyde McPhatter). One of the first and largest integrated workplaces in Cincinnati. Owners, Dynamic Industries, applied for demolition permit in 2015. City passed an authorization to use Eminent Domain in 2017 and agreed to land swap deal in April 2018. Attended and spoke at a meeting (Fall 2017) and asked to write a National Register nomination, so its ready to go when the buildings are acquired. Attended building / campaign update meeting on May 19th.

- 16. South Memphis neighborhood revival attempts began two decades ago with the LOCCDC and rebuilding of Stax. A coordinated effort to attract tourists and businesses leveraging their cultural heritage, historic assets (i.e. Peoples Grocery site, Mason Temple, Stax Museum, Elmwood Cemetery), and current businesses. Creating a driving tour (CHP) and a visitor center in the Jones Beauty Shop across from Stax. Designed interpretive panels using some text from driving tour. Incorporated the I Love Soulsville sign and colors from the mural on the Jones building. SOULSVILLE HERITAGE TOURISM

- 22. OTHER Received the Legacy Award from the Starr-Gennett Foundation (September 2017). Presenting my case study on the Stax Museum of American Soul at the Ohio Valley History Conference (October 2018). Will be featured in the WTIU/PBS Gennett documentary (December 2018). Submitting proposal to IASPM to present case study on either the Stax Museum or King Records Building case study (March 2019).
